Value of 1948 Penny in Mint Condition

10-Jan-2012

Hi, I was wondering if have three pennies (1948) which all have a very high lustre/shine compared to anything I have ever seen in the coin shops. One though, has a stain (possibly dye mark) across the back) (see photo attached)
My question is what would be there value in the condition depicted? I don't know a great deal about coins and have recently inherited a very large box of all varieties and the 1948 stood out immediately because of the brilliant sheen.
Thanks
Jamie

P.S The pictures don't accurately reflect the color. The coins are a very pink color like rose gold

The coin appears uncirculated but with the staining, and considering it's a very common date, it won't command much more than about $10.

Thanks Walter, the other two look exactly the same but without the stain. If they were uncirculated as you surmise the one with the stain is, how much do you think they would be worth? Many thanks, Jamie
