 Dear Walter,

I have happened across this coin, it is a 1886S Shield Reverse sovereign that has a the 6 closed and looks like an eight. Does it have any numismatic interest?

 It appears to be a die crack rather than an incorrect punch being used and therefore I doubt it would carry a premium as the coin's already high intrinsic value makes it prohibitive to variety collectors.
